Observation deck

is placed on a 32 floor of the building Olivia Star, that’s 130m above the ground! Is is available for everyone. From the top of the building we can see almost whole Tricity, starting from cliff in Orłowo through pier in Sopot, Ergo Arena, old buildings in Oliwa and to top it of excellently exposed from this perspective Gdańsk University complex, Energa Stadion, centre of Gdańsk and also (in good visibility) Vistula River. From East side we can perfectly see Gdańsk Bay, in this part decoration inside is connecting with maritime theme. From North side the view of the cathedral church is clearly visible. In this part decoration establishes Art nouveau architecture, glazed verands and spirit of the XIX century street. From West side we can admire the view of Trójmiejski Park Krajobrazowy. In this part chairs look like thunks which is connecting with nature theme. Ofter this observation deck is being compared with the view from the top of the Palace of Culture in Warsaw. If you want to get to the top of the observation deck in Olivia Stars, you have to pay from 17 to 20 pln (depending on buying reduced-fare or full-fare ticket), but kids to age 3 have free entrance! Later, the elevator is going to the top of the building in only 2 minutes!

Naturally, when the weather is fine you can go outside at the observation deck, but in the winter you can admiring the view only from the inside, but we won’t be disappointed! We have an hour to admire the view (obviously if we aren’t staying in the cafe or the restaurant), but for me it’s enough amount of time. Tourists are always coming back. From opening day 10,000 people visited observation deck. It is interesting that the view is changing because of the weather or time of the day. In the evenings you can see city which never sleeps, a lot of cars, people, offices, restaurants, but in the morning of afternoon the city calms down.

Despite of the wonderful view,

in the area of observation deck are placed cafe and restaurant Arco. It is very elegant restaurant which is in the charge of the most successful chef in the world- Paco Pérez. His restaurants are being placed in whole Europe and they won 5 Michelin stars. Unfortunately, the prices are from higher shelf, but it is worth consideration that you are paying for not only the excellent dishes but also for the work of the waiters who are very professional. As you can see in the pictures, the decoration of the observation deck is very warm. You can feel like in home because of the lamps which are shaped like a bulbs, very comfortable sofas or the swings dangling from the ceiling. The swings are a very good idea for kids who are full of the energy ready to play but for the adults they are for them to relax. Every Sunday on the premises od observation deck are being organized plays and fun games for kids. They can play Minecraft or build something from Legos. In the meantime parents can sit down, chat and drink coffee while enjoying the view.
