Gdańsk is a city where you can find many offers of higher education system. I am going to present you some of them. All of the universities I am going to write about are the public schools. Aside from them, there are many of the private higher schools in Gdańsk. I am going to start my trip with the old town. This is place where is located the Academy of Fine Arts. Later I will move across the city according to the line of SKM. I will move some districts. It will be Wrzeszcz, Przymorze and Zabianka.
Academy of Fine Arts- Coal Market, Old Town
Sensitive souls which plan to connect their life with art may be interested in the first academy I am going to describe. It is located in one of the most charming place in the city- in Old Town. The seat of Academy is placed in the Great Armory which we may admire on two fronts. We are able to see it from the Piwna Street and from the Coal Market. Apart from that, there is added building which we can see from the Tkacka Street. The Academy offers painting, sculpture, architecture, graphics, design and intermedia studies. There are 820 students in the Academy now.
Gdańsk University of Technology- Wrzeszcz, Narutowicz Street
Three stops further we are at the Politechnjka stop. The University of Technology is located just in there. This university is dedicated for anybody who is interested in science. This university is the oldest University of Technology in the currently area of Poland. It owns nine faculties: Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Electronic, Telecommunication and Computer Science, Faculty of Electronics and Control Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Mechanic, Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology and the Faculty of Management and Economics. The main building of the university is located on Narutowicz Street. The other buildings are scattered around the whole district. There are 18000 students on the University now.
Medical University of Gdańsk- Wrzeszcz, Maria Sklodowksa- Curie Street
My next offer is dedicated to the future doctors, nurses or people who are interested in other medical professions. Is is located only 15 minutes away from the University of Technology and it is one of the best medical universities in Poland. There are four faculties: Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Sciences with Institute of Maritime and Tropical Medicine, Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG&MUG. They are located on Maria Sklodowska- Curie Street. There are 5396 students at the University now.
University of Gdańsk- Przymorze, Bazynski Street
Next two stops further there is a Gdańsk Przymorze stop. There are located most of the faculties of the University. For real, the faculties are placed in many places in the Trójmiasto. There are 11 of them and they are called: Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Economic, Faculty of Languages, Faculty of History, Faculty of Law and Administration, Faculty of Managment, Faculty of Mathematics, Phisics and Informatics, Faculty of Oceanography and Geography, Faculty of Social Sciences, Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG&MUG. There are 27233 students now.
School of Physical Education- Zabianka, Kazimierz Gorny Street
Next two stops further is the end of the city. There is located the Academy which is dedicated for sportsmen. It has three faculties: Faculty of Physical Education, Faculty of Tourism and Recreation and the Faculty of Vindication and Kinesiology. There are 2997 students now.
